Frank Nitti

Frank Nitti
? to March 1943.

Nitti rose through the ranks of the Chicago mob under his relative Al Capone and served as Capone's underboss.

When the boss was jailed for income tax evasion, Nitti took control of the Chicago underworld and looks to have had a good deal more control of it than Capone ever did. Chicago still had its gang conflicts but nothing like the warfare and bloodshed of the Capone Era.

Facing extortion charges relating to the show business industry, Nitti apparently committed suicide in 1943.
